Salsa - Kizomba - Dancers - Musicians - Historians
Six documentaries are now available from La Época - specifically for you! Each film takes viewers through an amazing journey of history, music, and dance via intriguing interviews and footage of many of the world's most-respected figures. All the way from the days of Cuba, then through the days of the Palladium Ballroom in New York, all up to dance festivals around the world, today!
Award-winning musician, director, and int'l dance teacher Josué Joseph founded La Época in New York City in 2000 to remember the legacies of the outstanding musicians and dancers who pioneered in 'Salsa' - and to spread the importance of remembering and valuing history as we live today and evolve and change for tomorrow. Josue's father is Alfonso Panamá - a composer, arranger, and bassist from the Buena Vista Social Club generation.
Plus, in 2015, the explosion of Kizomba among dancers and musicians led to the newest documentary in the collection which has been endorsed by some of the top Kizomba figures!
